A United Nations Population Award 2018 winner. We are an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to helping children with heart defects in developing countries. We treat children regardless of race, colour, religion, sex or financial status. We also train doctors and clinicians. Operations are free of charge and hospital staff are all volunteers.
Since 1995, we have carried over 4,600 life-saving surgeries on children from 57 developing countries and have trained 117 medics from 16 countries. Save a Child’s Heart is accredited by the United Nations and the European Union.
