Personal information collected when you visit the Website

Each time you visit the Website we automatically collect certain limited information such as your browser type, IP address, time of visit, pages visited, etc. We use Google Analytics and cookies to collect and analyse such information on an aggregate basis in order to understand user behaviour and preferences, and optimise our services to you and the general public.

Personal information submitted upon registration

When you register for an account to use our services, we collect: your name, email address and password. We use this information to create your personal profile and to allow you to login to your personal account each time you visit the Website.

Personal information submitted when making a payment

When you make a payment using the Website we collect: your first and last name and your email address.

When you make a card payment through the Website your credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date) are transmitted to our third party payment providers for the purposes of processing your payment. We only work with payment providers who have appropriate data protection policies. We do not store your credit or debit card details.

If you choose to claim Gift Aid on your donation we will also collect: your tax status declaration and your home address.

If you choose to remain anonymous when you make a payment and the Host has accepted to receive anonymous contributions, then we will not disclose your name to the Host against your contribution. However, you still need to provide us with personal details in order for us to process the payment, donation and Gift Aid.

Personal information submitted when raising funds

If you are a Host raising funds for a gift through the Website, we will also collect: your bank account name, sort code and bank account number.

Information about others

You may provide us with information about others or authorise us to collect this information on your behalf from your Guest List or a publicly shared link about your Event. You should only contact individuals via Kindergifts who you know would be happy to receive your communication via the Website and you must not use our Service to send unsolicited spam.

Disclosing information to others

In order to operate the Kindergifts Service, we share your personal information with trusted partners as follows:

  • Banks and payment providers, in order to process your payment transactions;
  • Charity Partners and the HMRC, to process and authorise Gift Aid claims. Your Gift Aid declaration includes: your name, home address and confirmation of your tax status;
  • Law enforcement bodies, to comply with legal obligations or a court order, in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection legislation.

Where we provide information to Charity Partners for the purposes of claiming Gift Aid on your donations, such data shall be provided under strict privacy law protection, only for the intended and no other purposes.

You agree to grant us permission to disclose your personal information with such partners in order to provide our services to you.

Keeping your information secure

Any information that you send through the Website is encrypted. We use industry security technology and standards to protect your data from interception and misuse. We use a secure server to store your information which is only accessible by Kindergifts’ authorised personnel. Although we make every effort to ensure a secure environment, we cannot guarantee that our internet service is 100% safe and we cannot be held responsible or liable for unauthorized or unintended access beyond our control.
